Conal Cochran: From an ancient, sacrificial circle... Stonehenge."A time?" Really? How exactly did you procure a piece of one of the most photographed and watched landmarks in the world without someone noticing, if you don't mind my asking? You DO mind? Allrighty.
[Shows Chaliss the rock]
Conal Cochran: Ha ha. We had a TIME getting it here. You wouldn't believe how we did it.
[laughs; Shows him a small stone from Stonehenge]
Conal Cochran: It has a power in it.

Yeah, that was on AMC a few nights ago. Thought the same thing-- there was some serious handwaving going on there. Conversely, it could have used a little more expo: the bad guy really needed to explain his ultimate evil plan a little better, b/c I never got it.
ReplyDeleteDude, the plan was to use kid's faces to generate centipedes. Duh! Because, uh, there aren't enough centipedes.
ReplyDeleteProbably if the producers had worked with Nigel (Quatermass) Kneale, who wrote the story and then walked off because they wanted too much gore, they'd have had a more sensible movie. On the other hand, I'm still not sure what happens at the end of Five Million Years to Earth so maybe that's just crazy talk.
