Word comes today that SNL has cut my two favorite new-ish cast members, Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins. Watkins (left) is the one who usually plays straight woman to Kristin Wiig; Wilson (right) is the zaftig one who manages to work a song into almost everything she's in.It appears they were dumped to make room for even newer girls Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad. More power to them, but gosh! I'll miss these two. Rumor has it that they have already been snapped up by Jay Leno in NBC's brilliant/desperate 5-night comedy hour project, so maybe I'll finally after all these years start watching Jay.
